CompositesWorld editorial submission guidelines
CompositesWorld (CW) magazine offers web- and print-based opportunities for suppliers and fabricators to educate our readers about new products, technologies and developments related to composites. CW editorial content is staff-written, but we also work with press releases, papers and other contributed sources to develop high-quality stories.
HOW TO WORK WITH CW?
Start with a press release. These are free and published weekly, helping our audience learn more about your company, products and projects. They must clearly tie into the composites industry and should include composites in the title and/or subtitle.
- Send to press@compositesworld.com.
- Text may be in the email or attached as a PDF or MS Word document and should describe the news or new product in as much detail as possible.
- All press releases MUST have at least one image, sent as high-resolution JPEG or PNG files sized at least 2,400 × 3,300 pixels (300 dpi minimum), preferably in a 3x2 ratio.
These PR submissions will either be posted in Products or News and will also be sent out in our free CW Today e-newsletter.
New products will also be considered for use in print, but not guaranteed, due to space limits. Similarly, all accepted news will be considered but not guaranteed for use in the CW Trends section of the print magazine (see an example of this section here).
HOW TO WRITE A PRESS RELEASE
LARGER ARTICLES: WHAT CW LOOKS FOR
CW articles typically focus on real-world applications, in development or commercial use. The depth and breadth of the article depends on how much information can be shared. We look for a significant amount of detail, including:
- Design tools and software used, including type and supplier
- Design rationale, drivers, parameters, considerations, requirements
- Materials considered and chosen, including resin matrix and format, fiber type and format, core materials, etc.
- Manufacturing processes considered and chosen, detailing process steps, parameters (cure temperature, cycle time) and post-process finishing
- Postprocess testing, including NDT and physical testing
- Final use/application of the part/structure, how it’s deployed, how it performed, customer feedback
- High-quality, high-resolution images and/or video

Editing and exclusivity guidelines?
CW will edit any editorial submissions for content and to conform to our style guide. Contributed feature articles should be exclusive to CW magazine and not published previously in another publication.
How do I work with CW to develop a story?
Whether you are a materials, software or equipment supplier, or a designer, moldmaker, fabricator or end-use customer, if you have worked on a project or part that was interesting to you, it’s likely interesting to our audience. If you have an idea for a CW story, you have three great options:
- Call: All of CW’s editors are available by phone and can discuss how your ideas might be turned into great content.
- Email: You can also send ideas to any CW editor or to press@compositesworld.com, which includes the entire editorial team.
- Talk to us at a conference or trade show; don’t hesitate to say hello and share your ideas.
