Roth Composite Machinery (Steffenberg, Germany) develops and manufactures customized solutions to optimize production processes. The company’s machine technology is characterized by high productivity, precision and reliability. Roth is also showcasing its automation concept for reliable fiber changing and its custom winding software, µRoWin. Joe Jansen, sales and project manager for North America, is the point of contact for booth visitors, along with a colleague from Germany.
Winding software µRoWin focuses on automation, safety and time savings. This solution for creating machine movement programs was specifically developed for Roth Composite Machinery’s high-level filament winding machines. It is said to offer a smooth workflow and enable the review of all relevant input parameters at any time. The transparency and precision of the algorithms embedded in the software enable high fiber placement accuracy, making it a crucial tool for quality assurance, according to the company.
The software is designed to be user-friendly and optimize the winding process, as well as enable maximum efficiency beforehand. In the 3D simulation, the structure can be designed and optimized. This “digital twin” can then be transferred to the machine as control code.
