Syensqo to sponsor DS Penske Formula E team
Three-year partnership will bring high-performing polymers and composites to the forefront of electric vehicles to build on their efficiency, safety and light weight.
Syensqo (Brussels, Belgium), a science company and Solvay’s composite materials segment, has announced a 3-year partnership (seasons 10, 11 and 12) with the DS Penske Formula E team. The partnership is built on shared values of pushing the boundaries of technology while championing environmental responsibility, Formula E being the first sport with a certified net-zero carbon footprint since inception.
According to Olivier François, CEO of DS Automobiles, Syensqo will be a key player for the team’s next generation of electric cars. “Together with Syensqo, we are aiming for excellence, and we intend to demonstrate this at the first E-Prix of the season, which takes place in Mexico City on Jan. 13.”
Syensqo says that its solutions help make vehicles lighter, safer and more efficient with high-performing polymers, composites and other materials. The competitive platform of Formula E illustrates Syensqo’s commitment to explore and develop electric technology for road cars of tomorrow.
